In need of some things to do this summer while playing it safe? Here’s some fun ideas!

Go back in time with a drive in movie! Hounds’s Drive In,and Badin Road Drive In, are a couple of the places you can catch a movie or concert in your car this summer.

Become one with nature when you take a hike or spend a weekend camping at McDowell Nature Center.

Connect with wildlife and get the kids out of the house when you take a day trip to the Lazy 5 Ranch, Zootastic Park or Carolina Raptor Center.

Break out your bike and explore the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail, as you enjoy nearly 20 miles of cycling fun.

Take a hike, explore the lakes or have a picnic at Paris Mountain State Park.

Catch a film from the comfort of your own car at Raleigh Road Drive In.

Spend the day fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing or row boating at William B. Umstead State Park.

In Boone

There’s no shortage of outdoor activities near Boone, N.C. Enjoy The Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain or take a hike at Linville Falls. Don’t forget to explore the Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park, too.
