Whit Pritchett, Jr. was born in Danville, Virginia where he attended Sacred Heart School and George Washington High prior to obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The Campbell University School of Pharmacy in 2000. During his youth, he was an avid athlete, particularly excelling in baseball, soccer, swimming, tennis, and golf. Whit was an honor camper at the Raleigh YMCA Camp Seagull, is an Eagle Scout, and a member of the Order of the Arrow. This year Whit and his wife Elisabeth will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary and are blessed with one son, Whitney III, who currently attends Ravenscroft School.
In 2006, Whit followed in the footsteps of his mother (33 years in real estate) and grandfather (founder of R.E. Turner & Sons building corporation) when he ventured into the Real Estate Industry as a managing partner with Ideal Properties Realty in Lauderhill, Florida. As a managing partner, Whit was immersed in every aspect of the day to day real estate business including residential sales and leasing, as well as, commercial acquisition, sales, leasing and property management. In addition to their full service real estate brokerage, Whit alongside his two partners acquired, managed, and operated more than 600 rental units in South Florida.
After locating to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2008, Whit affiliated with the Allen Tate family of companies and continued to pursue his real estate career. During which time, he was recognized with the esteemed Rising Star Award.
In late 2010, Whit and his wife Elisabeth were honored with the opportunity to join Kevin Harrington’s (yes…the original shark on Shark Tank) executive group which set out to launch TV Goods, Inc., a public company created to help product owners and entrepreneurs make their dreams a reality. Upon completion of this successful venture and their return to Charlotte, Whit stepped back from the business world while being a full-time dad.
Recently, Whit and his family made a calculated decision to locate to the Triangle where they plan to establish deep roots in the community as well as in the business world. Whit has reunited with colleagues at Allen Tate Realtors and is excited to be entrenched in the wonderful world of real estate once again. Clearly, real estate is not only a passion, but a way of life for Whit!
