As a former NYC/DC corporate real estate paralegal and high school AP World History teacher, Dawn has over 20 years of expert experience in preparing for successful “high stakes” finishes. Whether managing due diligence for a complex commercial real estate transaction, preparing students for a difficult AP exam, or completing a client’s “dream” real estate closing, Dawn is a pro at providing real estate clients with the personal service, comprehensive market “know-how,” and effective communication needed to leverage each client’s ability to efficiently buy and sell real estate.
Dawn is a former public school teacher in the New York City and CMS systems; she also has private school experience . She taught at the Young Women’s Leadership School in Astoria, Queens (a public school of choice in NYC), West Charlotte High School (a Project Lift school), and Ardrey Kell High School in Ballantyne. Previous to that she was a Corporate/Real Estate paralegal and Paralegal Manager at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, in their NYC and Washington, DC offices.
Dawn and her husband Dave have a son in the US Air Force and a daughter at Baylor University. Dawn has a passion for the Charlotte community (especially Center City) and real estate. She and her husband are active supporters of the Carolina Raptor Center, World Vision, and various local arts initiatives. They are long-time Dilworth residents.
Dawn has a BA in Global History from Houghton College, Houghton, NY, a Ed.M, from Marymount University, Arlington, VA and a MA from Columbia University, New York City in History/Education.
