Community Profile

Located a few miles northeast of Raleigh, Wake Forest offers a small-town sensibility and safe tree-lined neighborhoods, plus proximity to urban centers. Roseville, the second-oldest town in Wake County, is also bustling with growth. Overall, the area offers residents the friendly, affordable qualities of a small town coupled with the convenience of quaint shopping and excellent dining and recreational opportunities.

Residents can drive to downtown Raleigh or Durham in less than 30 minutes, or they can be at Raleigh-Durham International Airport within 25 minutes. A weekday rush-hour express to downtown Raleigh is available.

Housing choices vary from historic homes to golf course communities to homesteads in a bucolic rural setting. Wake Forest’s public schools are part of the acclaimed Wake County school district, and the area has private and charter schools. World-renown universities are nearby, notably Duke University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University. The community also features an abundance of healthcare facilities and services, and three major teaching hospitals are in the area.
