“Agent focused, success driven” best describes Poo Alexander who leads the Allen Tate’s SouthPark office. “I love the agents I work with every day. To help them meet and exceed their goals is not only my job, but my passion. The best training I could have received for managing an office of 100 plus real estate agents is the time I spent in leadership positions in the volunteer world. You learn to achieve results by leading by example, sincerely caring about your team and to say thank you a lot.” Poo has used those lessons to create a supportive and harmonious work environment at SouthPark that fosters a high level of agent productivity.
Poo began her real estate career in 1997 in residential brokerage but soon was recruited to join Allen Tate as a sales manager and then Broker-in-Charge at the Providence @ 485 branch. For the past 10 years, she has led the SouthPark office as Manager and Broker-in-Charge. “It is immensely stimulating to work for a company that is as visionary and willing to embrace change as Allen Tate is. The company’s goal is to provide our agents with state of the art tools that enhance their business and to provide services to our clients that ensure the best customer experience.”
Poo grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia and moved to Charlotte shortly after graduating from Salem College. She taught in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system before marrying and starting a family. She became engaged as a volunteer in her church, her children's schools and in community organizations. Her volunteer efforts continued over the years through her service and leadership on numerous non-profit boards.
