Life’s transitions, such as buying or selling a house, can be both stressful and exciting. When you sell your house, you are cashing in on what might be your greatest investment. If you are buying a house, you are looking for the perfect place to become your home. My goal is to make sure that this transition goes as smoothly as possible. The most important thing I can do as your Realtor®, is to understand your needs, wants, and visions.

If you are thinking about buying your first home, you undoubtedly have a ton of questions. How much can I afford? Once I know what I want, how do I find homes to look at? When I visit a home, what things should I be looking for that might be a concern? When I find the home I want, how do I make an offer and how much should I offer? Oh my gosh! I have a contract to buy a home, now what do I do?????

I love to help first time home buyers understand the process and guide them through it. Just call or email me if you would like more information on buying your first home!

I have a BS in Biology from Bridgewater College in Virginia and a Masters in Liberal Studies from Duke University. I have lived in the Durham area for the past 33 years. I am active in the community, serving meals at the Durham Homeless shelter and starting a summer camp for high school youth to repair and renovate homes for families or individuals who needed a little help. I also, coach youth soccer and worked as a Youth Director at a church in Durham. In short, I love Durham and the Triangle. It is a great place to live and a great place to raise a family. It is important to me to do what I can to make it better. I became a Realtor® because I really enjoy helping people.

The Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill area is a wonderfully diverse and dynamic place to live. There is something here for everyone. For the sports fan, we are about 2 ½ hours from the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, Raleigh hosts the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, Durham has the historic Durham Bulls, a minor-league baseball team with a great following. In addition, we have tremendous college sports teams. For the arts and music lovers, we have several world class concert venues, which host everything from the NC Symphony, Country, Rock, Bluegrass and Blues performances and festivals. The state art museum in Raleigh hosts exhibits. In about 3 hours you can either be skiing down a slope in the Blue Ridge Mountains, soaking your feet in the Atlantic Ocean, or simply enjoying a quiet walk in one of our local state parks. The Triangle is a wonderful place to make your home!
