I’ve been in the real estate field for most of my life. Started out as a secretary working for a Broker in California managing property. I received my real estate license and was able to prepare leases and negotiate terms. I also appeared in court, representing the company I worked for, when tenants became delinquent in rent payments.
Then I started working with Chicago Title Company, in California, as a secretary and worked my way up to becoming an Escrow Officer. Worked with agents on both sides of the transaction, Title Company, lenders, insurance, anyone involved in order to close real estate transaction. I understate the paperwork involved from the beginning and the processing in closing the transaction.
After Escrow world, I decided to be a stay at home mom to raise my three lovely children. At the time my husband re-enlisted with the Navy and it made sense for me to be home with the little ones. He was a Naval Flight Officer, flying the S-3 planes. Military life was exciting, we moved quite a bit from the West coast to the East Coast and places in between. I was on both ends of real estate transactions, buying and selling. I loved buying a new home , gave me an excuse to redecorate.
My husband got out of the military and he asked me where I wanted to live. I loved the East coast and we ended up in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Been living here since 2011.
I got back in the real estate field as a real estate investor and decided I want to be an agent. I absolutely enjoy it. Love looking at homes with buyers. That’s how I get new ideas for decorating.
