Douglas William Canipe was born on Elgin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. His family soon relocated to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware as his father Lester William Canipe was enlisted in the United States Air Force for 20 Years. The family eventually settled in Gaston County in Cherryville, North Carolina where he spent most of his childhood and graduated from Cherryville High School in 1986. His mother, Gail Crocker Canipe taught at East Elementary School in Cherryville for over 20 years.
Doug Canipe is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where he received Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Media Studies. Doug is also a graduate of the Mingle School of Real Estate in Charlotte, NC as well as the Allen Tate School of Real Estate's Winners Edge program.
Doug Canipe has been involved in the residential housing industry for over 10 years, first as a residential electrician specializing in new home construction, and now as a full time Allen Tate agent and certified REALTOR®
Doug is married and has a 4 year old son. His interests outside of real estate include writing, recording, and performing music, photography, the National Football League, college football and basketball, and travel.
