My grandfather was Leo J. Sheridan. He created his real estate firm L.J. Sheridan & Chicago, Illinois during the Great Depression on St. Patrick’s Day in 1929. During the 1950’s he was the first to negotiate the purchase of air rights over Illinois Central Railroad for Prudential Insurance Company which led to the construction of the first skyscraper erected in Chicago post WWII. The negotiated deal concerning air rights had never been done before and paved the way for an office building construction boom in Chicago. His reputation in Chicago as a business leader led to his being asked to serve as Ambassador to Ireland for the United States in 1968 & 1969.

I moved to Raleigh over 13 years ago with my family. During this time I have bought and sold several properties and decided it was time to get into the real estate business. I guess you can say it is in my blood.
