Chris was born and raised in Kannapolis, NC, the oldest of four brothers. Currently, he still resides in Kannapolis and has two beautiful children Hyatt and MJ. After high school he attended a community college and then transferred to UNC-Charlotte. Ultimately he found his love for real estate while working with a landscape company who maintained foreclosed properties for a local real estate company. He partnered with a family member to purchase their first investment property which quickly turned into two, three, and more. However, he soon realized he enjoyed the interaction with buyers and sellers more than the property management side of the business. Chris ultimately decided in 2005 to focus on the general brokerage side of real estate, assisting buyers and sellers in helping them reach their goals and in 2015 he was honored by the Charlotte Observer and Home/Design Magazine as one of fourteen Real Estate Rising Stars.

Chris enjoys the fact that every day is different. A day doing a lot of paperwork may quickly turn into a day where he ends up showing his client their dream home that was just listed. Chris loves the unpredictability of the business, where things can change on a dime. The interaction with the people and the community, helping families and individuals make their home purchase dreams come true is something that never gets old!

Chris also thrives on being involved in his community, and Team Honeycutt’s influence has brought this out of him in the best way. Like Diane Honeycutt, Chris’ actions show what it means to be a part of his community. He has served on the United Way Housing and Stability Council the past few years, and has also served as an ambassador for the Cabarrus County Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, he was honored as the Chamber Ambassador of the year. He is currently a member of the Leadership Cabarrus program, in which local business and community leaders focus on Cabarrus County’s assets, resources, and needs in order to advance the county’s goals.

Along with his for passion real estate and working in the community, he also has a love for the outdoors. Chris enjoys hiking, camping, and is an accomplished tournament angler who has won major tournaments on a regional level. His enthusiasm for life and professionalism in his work are evident to every client he meets.

It is Unbelievable how good Chris is at his job. I contacted Chris on Monday, met with him on Wednesday, and he sold my house on Friday afternoon. That is correct – 5 days from the first phone call made until my house was under contract. Through the entire process Chris knew every question and every detail I asked him, not once did he need to “call me back” and waste my valuable time. A true professional in every way. “I was clueless about the process of buying a home and randomly stumbled upon Chris’s name via a Google search. I can remember the first call with Chris, and it ended in Chris assuring me that he’ll get the job done. As a first time home buyer, there was no way that I or anyone could ever be truly ready for all of the challenges involved with buying a home. Chris made this process easy by being as diligent and transparent as possible. Although this was the only home that we needed to view before making a decision (most are not so lucky), he made special accommodations to make sure I was able to view the home as many times as I wanted.
