"My customers are not just another real estate listing or buyer I am trying to get through the process," says Cheri Johnson, realtor for Allen Tate Realtors located in Wake Forest and serving Wake County the surrounding areas. Having lived many years in the Philadelphia and Boston area, Cheri has returned to North Carolina. Her love of the area serves her well as she employs a large network of contacts in the industry and enjoys a vast knowledge of the local real estate market. It includes knowing the best schools, churches, places to work, eat and shop, and where to find the nicest homes and neighborhoods to live and raise a family.

Many of her clients are people going through a great change in their lives, and sometimes people who simply need to be rescued from some current crisis. Maybe it's divorce, or changing jobs or starting life all over again. No matter the motivation, Cheri truly enjoys helping people and exposing them to the best opportunities and options, be it selling your own at the best price possible, or finding your dream home at the most affordable price there is.

Growing up as a military brat, she attended elementary school in Fort Benning, Georgia and Cooke Barracks, Göppingen, Germany, middle school at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and high school at Hope Mills, North Carolina. As a results of such a diverse background, Cheri easily and personally relates to so many of her clients who have to suddenly move and sell their home or relocate and put down roots as she had to do so often when a youngster.

Now a very joyful and admittedly overprotective mother of two children, she is happily married to a great guy she met 23 years ago during a serendipitous and romantic trip by train from Boston, Massachusetts to New York City, New York. Cheri loves being a mother and delights in referring to her children, David (14) and Madison (12) as her peeps. "Life should be a thrilling adventure," she adds. And it should be. And for those who know her as Mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend or realtor extraordinaire, knowing Cheri Johnson is indeed quite a thrill!
