My family took a leap in 1994 and moved to Raleigh from our home state of New Jersey where I was raised and educated. We didn’t know anyone in the area but it was time to try something new. So I know how it feels to start from scratch!
I’ve been in the pharmaceutical industry, owned a children’s clothing store, opened an embroidery business and most recently I was the Operations Manager (Executive Director) at Beth Meyer Synagogue, a congregation with 450 families. I was the chief liaison for congregant’s needs, questions, concerns and complaints all while maintaining discretion. I managed the physical buildings, negotiated contracts with vendors, coordinated volunteers and organized events.
About seven years ago, I began a program for seniors in the Jewish community, a place to gather and enjoy each other’s company, have lunch and participate in programs. This is my passion.
People would describe me as having a calm demeanor, diplomatic in nature, a self motivated leader, a community volunteer, and a problem solver with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Our decision 20 years ago was a good one. My kids have been educated in North Carolina and are now off on their own successful careers. I’ve made many good friends and met many wonderful people through the years, volunteering in our various schools, at Rex Hospital, the Interfaith Food Shuttle as well as a 20 year volunteer at the synagogue.
I’ve chosen a new path, one that will allow me to put all of my skills and experience toward helping folks with one of their biggest investments of their life. Joining Allen Tate Realtors allows me to work with experienced agents, in a number one ranked company with 50+ years in the business.
