Four ways to use Instagram for capturing and promoting business

March 17, 2020 - By

Hi, I’m Helen Cestra, a multi-million dollar producing real estate agent at Howard Hanna. I wanted to take a few moments today to share with you some of my top tips for using Instagram to win clients and build your sphere.

First, tie your properties into hot home trends. I love to showcase gorgeous features of listings that somehow involve what is trendy at the moment. For example, right now, painted front doors with pops of color are very in so I have been trying to feature those photos on my Instagram. If I am out on a showing and see a cute front door color it is so easy to post a story about it. It changes it up from the usual post and your followers will think of you next time they see one too!

Next, don’t be afraid to get personal! If you’re out for dinner or drinks with other real estate agent friends, snap a selfie and make sure to tag everyone. You’ll give your friends a boost and you’ll show that you have a robust network in real estate.

Third, show off your sold signs! Keep a name rider or even a sold rider on hand for photo opportunities with your clients to use on closing day. Ask for their permission to share on Instagram with a message congratulating them on their big sale! Don’t forget to tag them in it as well so then you can reach their friends and network. Chances are someone looking on their Facebook or Instagram is looking for a house, too!

Finally, consider your personal branding! I use hashtag #SoldByCestra to keep my name top of mind for my sphere. By creating a branded hashtag, clients and customers can easily find your content, and you can build name recognition.

I hope these tips help you build a noteworthy and influential Instagram account to grow your real estate business!
