Real estate company team to support Charlotte Metro Area Relocation Council event

Representatives from Allen Tate Relocation and Corporate Services, along with Allen Tate Realtors, Mortgage and Insurance, will participate in the first annual Truck Pull presented by the Charlotte Metro Area Relocation Council (CMARC) and MYMOVE.

The Truck Pull will be held November 16, from noon to 4 p.m. at Lenny Boy Brewing Co. at 3000 S. Tryon Street in Charlotte. Proceeds from the event will benefit Move For Hunger, a non-profit that mobilizes the relocation industry to fight hunger and reduce food waste.

In addition to collecting food from people who are moving to new homes, Move For Hunger helps companies and individuals across the United States and Canada organize successful food drives. To date, they have provided more than 12 million meals for those in need.

The event will feature teams of 10, who will compete to see who can pull a moving truck 100 feet the fastest. Allen Tate participants (and cheerleaders) on the “Tate Tuggers” team include Jonathan Clark, DJ Stephan, Rachel Brumfield and Keela Shumard, Allen Tate Relocation and Corporate Services; Katrina Richards, Allen Tate Realtors; John Stiles and Jamie Adams, Allen Tate Mortgage; and Zach Ligon and Mike Oelz, Allen Tate Insurance.

Additional team members include Keith Gabriel, Brenton Goodwin, Davon Hood, Dedrick McManus, Jonathan Hill, Carlos Moore and Andre Fuller.

“When people relocate, they often throw away food because they can’t transport or store it. Move For Hunger helps reduce food waste and fight hunger by getting this excess food to food banks and people who can use it,” said DJ Stephan, president, Allen Tate Relocation and Corporate Services.

“We’re really excited to support CMARC and MYMOVE through our participation in this event,” Stephan said.
