I was raised in Orange County, California and attended the University of California, Irvine, earning degrees in economics and business management. For five years, I was an asset manager, assistant vice president at TCW Realty Advisors - a leading institutional investor in commercial real estate. During this time, I earned my Real Property Administration (RPA) professional designation,
and Certified Property Management candidacy. In 1993, I left my home in California and moved to North Carolina to attend Duke University's Fuqua School of Business for a Master in Business Administration (MBA).

I have been a resident of the Triangle, including Raleigh, Cary and Durham, for 18 years now. My husband and I enjoy raising our four children here, and have made North Carolina our home.
