I was first licensed as a Real Estate Salesperson in New York State when I was 18 years old. My parents, both Licensed Real Estate Brokers, owned and operated a local real estate brokerage firm. It was during those early years in the profession that I learned about the marketing and sale of real property and pledged to provide exceptional customer service to all who enlisted my services. Since then, I worked under several national brokerage firms and earned my New York State and North Carolina Real Estate Broker's licenses. I currently practice my profession with my wife of 32 years, Julie, who is also a Broker at Allen Tate Realtors' Chapel Hill/Durham office. My commitment to those who entrust me with their real estate needs has not wavered.

Success in the real estate profession requires that the agent remain informed about the current market conditions and the latest laws and regulations governing the industry, be available when customers or clients require timely assistance, and, in addition to the honoring the fiduciary duties owed by all agents to their clients, exhibit care about bringing happiness to those they serve. Thus, the measure of success is not measured solely in terms of commission income earned, but more importantly, the loyalty, repeat business and referrals by former clients.

I strive to understand each customers or client's unique requirements and motivations for purchasing or selling a home before embarking on the marketing for sale of their home or beginning a home search. Throughout the sale or purchase process, I communicate continuously with my customers and clients, listening and learning of their changing requirements and preferences and to keep them apprised of market conditions. Professional guidance is provided through the conclusion of the transaction. Purchasing or selling a home can be stressful. I try to bring a level of comfort and confidence to those who are making this life change.

I specialize in residential real estate sales, working with both buyers and sellers. Through continuing education and personal experiences, I have gained considerable and valuable knowledge of rural land development and new home construction.
