Becky Boan, team leader, has been a full-time broker with Allen Tate for 15 years. She was raised in the building / real estate industry from childhood and has been mentored by her mother, Sherrie Boan, also a team member and broker with Allen Tate for 25 years. With a desire to help those in need, her educational background comes from UNC-Chapel Hill with degrees in both Psychology and Exercise & Sports Science. She then went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Counseling at UNC-Charlotte. Coupling her childhood background with her educational background, real estate was a natural “fit” in regards to the platform in which she now exercises her love of “helping” others through counseling them with their real estate needs.

Sherrie Boan, team member and original leader of the Boan Group, is the foundation upon which this team was built. Her reputation precedes her with not just her clients, but also her colleagues, who view her as as the ultimate “red penguin,” a term used within the Allen Tate family to showcase exemplary knowledge, unparalleled service and standing out above the rest. Sherrie was part of of a family-owned construction business for twenty-three years before becoming a REALTOR. She has been a role model and example for her associates as well as her three children, who have watched her work diligently to build her business and are now following in her footsteps.

Meg Johnston is your Raleigh connection! A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1999, Meg became a licensed real estate agent the same year. Her career began in new home sales, where she was recognized as a top producer. A long-time resident of Raleigh, she resides in the North Hills area with her husband, an executive in the home building industry, and their two children. Meg takes great pride in treating all of her clients as she would want to be treated throughout every transaction.
